Upon first inspection, the taco shop itself just seems like an ordinary taco shop like Rigoberto's, or Alberto's but I decided to give it try because its been a month since it opened. Also, I shouldn't judge the burrito by the stores name, I should just judge the burrito. I decided to go through the drive-through because I only live about four blocks away and I could safely get the burrito home without it getting cold. I ordered the Surf and Turf burrito. The ingredients were rice, sour cream, guacamole, with steak and shrimp. First impression, the burrito was huge and hot( I'm a stickler for temperature.)
My first bite into the burrito, there was no empty spaces and the roll was very tight. The ingredients were all above average in taste and texture. The best part of this burrito was the carne asada. The strips of carne asada had little burnt ends which gave it great texture and flavor. The cut on the meat was also done well because each piece sorta melted in your mouth, and you could tell they cut against the grain and not with it.
I also have to add that the red salsa/hot sauce that they gave me was extraordinary. Usually, when I bring a burrito home I pick up my Tapatio. This time, I finished the red salsa they gave me and I wanted more.
